Breville BOV650XL Helpful Review
Saturday, October 8th, 2011Breville BOV650XL review : OK, I admit having bought the Breville 650XL elsewhere for much cheaper, despite Amazon charging retail $179 greenbacks….IMO, it’s still the best bang for the buck. Its larger brother the 800XL @ $249 greenbacks is way dearer and larger. And when you open the 800′s door, a magnet attracts out the tray (BFD). plus it has a convection fan. Wow, blow me away.
Did much research regarding many toaster ovens (depite all being created in China) and Breville has the best reviews.
Most attention-grabbing, realize both of the Brevilles, Amazon sells have 1800 watts max. Now, do the mathematics, which would cook faster considering interior Breville toaster oven cubic feet size? No brainer, the smaller 650XL would heat faster and cook quicker.
My kitchen is large enough to accommodate my frytop/four burner commercial Wolf vary purchased 28 years ago. but limited counter area dictates small dimensioned electrics…….think the 650XL.
Now, considering employing a Breville 650XL compared to a billboard Wolf vary gas oven vs electrical cost? for little meals, i’ll select the toaster oven anytime.
Wolf? Cooking a first-rate rib, gobbler or high heat stir fry Chinese meals? that’s where the Wolf is value every penny I paid to install, cherish and luxuriate in (you bet it’s USA created too).
Bottom line, you home chefs out there, the 800XL/650XL at $70 greenbacks cheaper “is a cut price.”
BTW, if you wish creating scratch choco chip cookies, experiment with temps and the 650XL bakes superb CC cookies…..well, maybe not a large batch, lol.
