I have owned the TV for concerning vi months and have had quite alittle of time to fiddle with everything therefore i assumed i would write a quick review. Picture: first off, the image quality on samsung un40d5500 is great. i can not say i am a picture purist or something but everything I have plugged into samsung un40d5500 appearance sensible. Blu-ray movies through my PS3 look great. PS3 games also look great. I have even had sensible luck with lower quality sources like my recent VCR (yes, I still own one) and older video game systems like my PS1. There are some image filters which facilitate to wash up a number of the noise from lower quality sources and my older Sony 47′ LCD does not clean them up as well. The one drawback i’ll say is that if there is only one item on a wholly black screen, like a video game menu or something, the whole screen are pretty dim attributable to the approach LED dimming works. i think this is in all probability true of most LED TV’s and is completely different than my regular Sony LCD therefore i assumed i would point it out. Audio: Audio quality is pretty sensible for such a thin TV. The speakers don’t seem to be visible from the front and sound much better than my older Sony. i’ll in all probability still end up getting a sound bar since i am an audio purist. The one issue that really irks me in this department isn’t any headphone jack. there is an audio out but that doesn’t work well for headphones in the least. This downside is not only with Samsung, many more moderen TV’s have omitted a headphone jack. what quantity could it presumably price to add? i am sure many folks would notice it convenient. Other: do not pay money for the overpriced Samsung wireless network adapter. I used the Rosewill RNX-N1 from newegg for roughly $25 and it works perfectly. Updating the firmware via a USB stick was a breeze. The Samsung hub could be a nice feature. Netflix streaming works well. Also, i prefer the ability to load .avi movies onto a thumb drive and watch them straight on the TV. No a lot of desirous to hook up my laptop and mess with getting up to pause, etc. One final issue to notice is that being an LED lit TV, it puts out nearly no heat. this is a bonus for the smallish non-air-conditioned space that i take advantage of it in. Overall: this is not the most affordable LED TV but it seems to hit the worth proposition well. it is full featured and appears sensible. Overall, i would purchase it again and would recommend to others.

I couldn’t be happier with the acquisition. the picture quaility is outstanding (TimeWarner Cable HD Service is the supply at our house). it’s the best picture I even have ever seen on a TV by way. we haven’t viewed something in 3D however as a result of the glasses weren’t included but this issue as an everyday HD TV is superb. it’s very hard to explain how clear the picture is. Most shows look live (even the recent ones!). The HD detail is unbelievable. For the price it was an excellent deal. we have a tendency to paid a trifle less than $940 shipped for everything during this sale (TV wall-mount and shipping included). i am positive the price can go down within the future as newer models and options embark but at this point and time, i am very happy. i used to be skeptical at first concerning having such a giant TV shipped to my house (rather than go choose one up at a Best purchase or different retailer) but we have a tendency to had no problems. The image at times can appear surreal… almost like your watching home movies. do not know the way to justify however it’s thus vibrant it takes a little obtaining used to. Sound is more than cheap for a standalone TV however i would still tie it into a surround system. the net apps are nice also… this samsung ln46c600 is my second Samsung TV and that i wouldn’t hesitate buying a third.
User Review is From tc-p50x3 : I purchased my panasonic tc-p50x3 set in June, 2011 it is the start of September now and my set has worked for maybe three weeks altogether. I had a TIVO HD connected to HDMI one and my pc to HDMI 2. These were an equivalent connections that I used successfully on a Sony TV for 3 years. I worked fine for two weeks and then it stopped. I known as Panasonic Service and that they sent out a repair crew (from Tampa..a two hundred mile round trip rather than using a local repair firm) and that they told me that the main board had burned out. They said that Panasonic would send the replacement board to me and after I got it to call them and that they would come back to put in it…which they did. One week later the main board burned out again. now Panasonic has the nerve to inform me that it is my TIVO unit that is burning out the boards. they say that it is quite common for any cable box or satellite receiver to burn out HDMI sockets. They said that they might replace the board this time but my warranty would be void afterward. i was told to call a local repair company for service. The new company came and picked up my set to repair. They known as me every week later and told me that Panasonic had modified their mind and would not buy the repair and if I wished it done it might price me nearly $400. I told them to not do the repair and that they said that I still owed them $60. i will be able to pay them the $60 just for the satisfaction on taking a hammer to that piece of junk. in the mean time I had hooked up a 32-inch Sanyo that I moved from our kitchen with an equivalent connections and again they worked fine. they are still operating fine today. the matter isn’t with my TIVO unit. the matter is with the Panasonic set…and with Panasonic staff. My advice….stay aloof from Panasonic product. Their client service sucks!!!
